2. Significant Military Benefits Changes in 2023
2023 brings notable improvements in military benefits:

•    Pay Increase: A 4.6% pay raise, reflecting the largest increase since 2001³ , addresses the rising living costs.
•    Basic Needs Allowance: This new allowance aids active-duty service members with dependents who fall below federal poverty guidelines⁴.
•    Higher Housing and Subsistence Allowances: The Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) sees a 12.1% increase⁵, and the Basic Allowance for Subsistence (BAS) is set at $311.68 for officers and $452.56 for enlisted members⁶.
•    Cost of Living Adjustment: An 8.7% COLA increase benefits military retirees, VA disability pay recipients, and more⁷.

3. Presidential Initiatives
